After his honorable service in the United States Army during the Cold War and Desert Storm, Mr. Beilstein received his degree in Political Science from California State University at San Bernardino. He went on to complete his master’s degree in Counseling and his teaching and administrative services credentials from the University of Redlands where he was recognized as the Outstanding Graduate Student for Educational Administration. Mr. Beilstein also completed coursework at the University of California at Riverside where he received his CLAD credential.
Mr. Beilstein began his career as an educator by teaching at-risk youth in grades 3 through 12 at the Hesperia Alternative Education School. In 1995, he accepted a teaching assignment at Yucaipa Junior High School, teaching opportunity class, United States history, geography and leadership classes. While at Yucaipa Junior High School, Mr. Beilstein also served as the Administrative Designee for Student Discipline and Counseling. In 2000, Mr. Beilstein accepted the position of counselor and Administrator of special education and 504 plans at Banning High School. While a Banning High School, Mr. Beilstein served as the head JV and assistant varsity football coach. In 2007, Mr. Beilstein became an Adjunct Professor at the University of Redlands in their graduate counseling program. In 2014, he was tasked with creating and opening the Florida Street Discovery Center for the Banning Unified School District. Since 2013, Mr. Beilstein has served as the principal of Hoffer Elementary School.
