Counseling Resources

At Hoffer Elementary, we are committed to supporting the emotional and social well-being of our students. To further this mission, I am excited to inform you about the upcoming school counseling groups that will be offered throughout the year.

These groups are designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for students to discuss their feelings, develop coping strategies, and/or enhance their social skills. Topics may include friendship building, social skills, stress management or self-esteem or possible grief groups. Each year may differ depending on the needs of the students. Participation in these groups can be incredibly beneficial for students, allowing them to connect with peers and learn important skills to help them develop socially and emotionally.

With your permission, I (Mr. Ryan)  will be able to work with students in a group setting or possibly one-on-one  depending on the circumstance to address specific concerns, barriers or challenges the students may be facing. As a school counselor it is my goal to help your students grow in academics, their future as well as socially and emotionally.

To allow for these important interactions, I kindly ask you to review and sign the attached consent form. Your signature will grant me, the school counselor, permission to work with your child both in group settings and individually, as needed. Please return the signed form as soon as you can.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please feel free to reach out to me, at rldiaz@banning.k12.ca.us or (951)922-0257 Ext: 231104.
